They should always know that there is someone here to support them whenever they are in need of assistance. This goes above and beyond our regular reporting through monthly or quarterly management accounts. We want to work with clients to review the financial health of their business and help them make more informed decisions. We are constantly looking for ways to improve internal processes and the way things are done. All of this contributes to friendly, open and honest conversations with clients and can ultimately lead to a fantastic working relationship.”

It is so satisfying to see their businesses flourish whether that be through increased revenue, staff numbers or expanding geographically and knowing you had, in some way, a small part to play in the success of the business.

I really enjoy having the opportunity to advise clients on their own systems and introduce the use of clouding accounting to bring efficiencies and better suit their needs across different areas of their business. It is a drastic change from the days of desktop accounting as clients now have access to up to date and readily available information at click of a button, which ultimately helps them run better, more informed businesses.”

TRAINING THE TEAM

“Another area of my role I really enjoy is working with colleagues, passing on and overseeing jobs I used to complete to junior members of the team, sharing my knowledge and experience with them as other colleagues did, and continue to do so for me. Given I joined the firm as an apprentice, I have first-hand experience of the training and challenges faced to be able to mentor the junior team members. There are a lot of opportunities at AAB for personal development and growth.”
